Description
Delicious grilled shrimp marinated in a cilantro lime sauce and sweet chili sauce, cooked on a cedar plank for extra flavor.

- 1 pound fresh shrimp (Shells removed and deveined)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1–2 teaspoons brown sugar or sweetener
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (This is typically the juice of 1 lime)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (This is typically 1/2 a lime)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Soak your cedar plank in water for at least one hour before using it. Ensure it’s completely submerged in water.
- Preheat grill to medium heat (350 degrees).
- Place the shrimp on the cedar plank. Rub the olive oil over the shrimp and season with the spices.
- Grill the shrimp for 5-6 minutes on each side or until cooked.
- Add the olive oil, lime juice, cilantro, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to a small bowl and stir.
- Add the shrimp to a separate bowl or container. Drizzle the cilantro lime marinade over the shrimp. Reserve 20% of the marinade to coat over the cooked shrimp for extra flavor.
- Grill the shrimp for 5-6 minutes on each side or until cooked.
- Add the sweet chili sauce, lime juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to a small bowl and stir.
- Add the shrimp to a separate bowl or container. Drizzle the sweet chili marinade over the shrimp. Reserve 20% of the marinade to coat over the cooked shrimp for extra flavor.
- Grill the shrimp for 5-6 minutes on each side or until cooked.
Notes
- For best results, let the shrimp marinate for at least 30 minutes before grilling.
- Be sure to keep an eye on the shrimp while grilling to prevent overcooking.
- The marinade can be adjusted to taste.
