Description
Delicious homemade churros coated in cinnamon sugar.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sugar for coating
- 1 tsp cinnamon for coating
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Heat water, sugar, salt, and oil in a pot until boiling.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour until smooth.
- Beat in egg until dough forms.
- Heat oil to 375°F (190°C).
- Pipe dough into small balls or short sticks.
- Fry until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Toss warm churros in cinnamon sugar.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Make sure the oil is hot enough for frying to achieve a crispy texture.
- For extra flavor, add a splash of vanilla to the dough.
