Description
Delicious and healthy homemade raspberry fruit leather using frozen raspberries.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz frozen raspberries
- 3 tablespoons frozen apple juice concentrate
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, mix together the frozen raspberries, apple juice concentrate, maple syrup, and lemon juice. Use a spatula to ensure everything is well incorporated.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir the mixture occasionally. Cook until the raspberries are thawed and everything is heated through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool for a minute. Pour the mixture into a blender and blend until smooth.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, creating a flat surface.
- Pour the blended raspberry mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it evenly to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven at 170°F (75°C) for about 6-8 hours, or until the fruit leather is no longer sticky but still pliable.
- Allow the fruit leather to cool fully. Remove it from the parchment paper and cut it into strips or shapes.
Notes
- Opt for high-quality berries for the best flavor and vibrant color.
- Choose no-sugar-added apple juice concentrate for a healthier version.
- Adjust the amount of maple syrup based on your taste preference.
- The lemon juice brightens the flavor and balances sweetness.
