Description

A simple and delicious whipped cream recipe.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream (chilled)
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar (or powdered sugar)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place a large glass or metal mixing bowl and the mixer beater blades in the freezer for 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Pour the cold cream into a chilled bowl. Then, add sugar and vanilla extract.
  3. Begin whipping the mixture on medium-low speed for about 1 minute, or until it thickens slightly.
  4. Increase speed to high and whip until stiff peaks form and the cream holds its shape, for about 1 minute.
  5. Use right away or store in refrigerator in an airtight container.

Notes

  • For best results, use chilled utensils and ingredients.
  • Can substitute powdered sugar for a smoother texture.
