Description

A quick and easy recipe for delicious peanut butter and jam roll-ups, perfect for lunchboxes or as a snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slices soft sandwich bread (without big seeds)
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter (or sunflower seed butter, almond butter, cream cheese, or Nutella)
  • 1 tablespoon jam (jelly, chia jam, or apple butter)

Instructions

  1. Warm the bread for 5-10 seconds on a heat-safe plate in the microwave. This is optional, but is recommended if your bread is not super soft and at room temperature. You can also warm it longer if you’re starting with frozen bread slices.
  2. Place the bread onto a cutting board and roll very flat with a rolling pin.
  3. Spread on the fillings to the edges of the bread.
  4. Roll up, starting at the base of one of the long sides of the bread (the bottom of the slice). Try to make the roll tight, but roll gently to avoid pushing all of the filling out.
  5. Slice gently with a serrated knife; I usually slice the rolls so they are about 1-inch thick.
  6. Serve or pack in a lunch box.

Notes

  • This recipe is highly customizable; feel free to use your favorite nut butter and jam combination.
  • If using frozen bread, ensure to warm it longer for better rolling.
