Delicious honey garlic chicken thighs that are baked to perfection, glazed with a savory sauce and garnished for a delightful presentation.

- 4 – 6 pieces bone-in (skin-on chicken thighs)
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp Knorr’s chicken bouillon powder
- ½ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional but recommended!)
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1½ tbsp jarlic (garlic with chilies in oil)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)
- Kosher salt and black pepper (to taste)
- for garnish: sesame seeds & chopped cilantro or scallions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking dish with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
- In a bowl, mix together ketchup, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire, ground ginger, jarlic, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Taste and adjust heat/sweetness to your liking.
- Pat chicken thighs dry. Lightly season with salt and pepper.
- Arrange chicken in the baking dish skin-side up and pour or brush ⅔ of the sauce all over the thighs.
- Bake uncovered for 1 hour at 350°F.
- Spoon on the remaining sauce and broil for 5-8 minutes until the glaze bubbles and caramelizes with golden charred edges.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped cilantro or scallions. Serve hot with white rice, roasted broccoli, or a crisp cucumber salad.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
- You can substitute honey with agave syrup for a vegan option.
- Ensure to taste the sauce before pouring it over the chicken to adjust flavors as needed.
