- 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 to 2 tablespoons sriracha
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- Pat the chicken dry and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Toss it with the cornstarch, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, honey, sriracha, rice vinegar, and grated ginger.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken in a single layer and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until lightly browned.
- Turn the chicken pieces and continue cooking for another 3 to 4 minutes until nearly cooked through.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly.
- Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir well to coat the chicken.
- Let the sauce simmer for 2 to 4 minutes until thickened and glossy.
- Remove from the heat and top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve hot with rice, noodles, or steamed vegetables.
